swears Actually if you DO keep Simon's old worn armor, it boosts his AGI enough (with a dagger also equipped) that you can get the silence off on the big ones fairly reliably. I definitely would recommend keeping all unique pieces of armor for situational reasons like that and as for the standard sets, I like to keep one of each for collector's reasons.

Does anyone here know if Yhilin Acceptance continues to influence Ardan acceptance after/during the war? Or is that solely to contribute to the Yhilin Final state after it? I made a point to change the war guide to say that it's only for initialization, but I'd like to be sure of that point.

How much leeway does your guide have? Do we need EVERY army size gain? EVERY arclent acceptance point? What's the minimum we should have for each section so we aren't crippling ourselves later?

Invictus455 Most are pretty tight, getting an exact answer would take too long, but many choices require most variables to be at their maximum level

Thosha Very good idea to put a list of purchased items together. In some places, they help enormously. For example, in the 2nd Lustlord fight you state:

"Qum: Zirantian Vibrator, Sexual Pin, (buttplug if you have it, I didn't buy it)"

The buttplug helps enormously. With it, Qum can start casting Arousing Aura immediately. This reduced the demand on Carina for Mass Healing and adds greatly to the damage that Vhala and Varia do to Lustlord. With your recommended equipment loadout and that one addition for Qum, you can count on beating the Lustlord pretty much every time unless you get truly unlucky in Vhala not reducing the Lustlord's attacks.

Your loadout recommendations are very good for this fight. With the Crusader Sword and one Reforged Givini Blade, Varia can dish out some truly stunning amounts of damage, particularly with a few critical hits. One additional recommendation from me for that fight: equip Vhala with the Breastplate De Iris. With all that elemental resistance, Vhala can pretty much sneer at Lustlord's attacks.

Thosha so it would seem, I JUST got done running the yhilin battle with orc research instead of essence shielding (trying to get the cache excavation instead of the bridge and yhilin 1) and the ONE more chaos caused Megail to not be at 100 -_- Seems that research is only viable if you whore Qum and spend the excess pr0n on early bridge repair so you don't have to group enemies. Comes at the cost of the ambassador's +1 social though. Better to just invest in cache excavation early on if you go that route. (the biggest downgrade is missing the pin, but I ran the secret stat numbers a while ago and you get up to 75 yhilin acceptance, so there's a leeway of up to 3 there for arclent acceptance. You also miss the futa guard scene and delay some of the endgame scenes, but the goddesses also have some leeway for maxing them)

I would REALLY prefer not to do that, but I can't help but feel that missing out on 22 points of Simon's stats is really the most optimal decision. That's not just your inner dark souls fan trying to make the game harder for yourself right?

Invictus455 Intended methods to make Simon or your party stronger are very useful and always used. It's just that sometimes, Simon's stats are less important then worldbuilding variables. At final release I might look into how to get the cache without whoring out Qum.
I may be a Dark Souls fan, but I'm no masochist 😉

Thosha fair enough, the increased AGI you get if you do go through with it can actually sometimes be annoying if you're trying to raise lust levels on your succubi before you end a fight. And you REALLY don't want to miss out on the succubus pin, sexbind is SUPER annoying and the pin trivializes certain sections of the tower (some holy plane enemies are weak to sex attacks but the bigger ones inflict sexbind)

Anyway, the reason I was trying to do orc research was to make up for the smaller army size you'd get if you don't fund city merc. regulations (because if you don't fund the bridge (because you got the cache instead) in round 3, you have to use 10% of discretionary funds to repair it and get access to the infrastructure project, since I don't know if those troops are critical for future wars. You COULD make up for them in Ardoheim 3 at the cost of 1 arclent acceptance (unless they change yhillin acceptance to CONTINUOUSLY influence arclent's). The other option would be just to completey ignore the monestary conversion and I don't mean turn into a shrine, that WILL lose Sarai enough points to negatively affect the Council of Gaenfall, but you don't lose points with her from it just going away during the Yhilin final. You'll miss that +2 to religion though. "I know, I know, always with the trade-offs."

Invictus455 I mean you could route around it, but it's quite annoying and it's an overall loss. Calculating all possible trade-offs would take way too long.

Thosha lol yeah, all the branching paths are what makes this game so great though. It's impossible to get EVERY best outcome scenario in the game, so you gotta try and find the balance between best and 2nd best. Yeah, it WILL take a while to crunch the numbers. (I had to restart because I started following your playthrough from a save I didn't realize I had sold all Simon's starting gear in, which unfortunately included the old ribbon), but I like to keep track of secret stats anyway. Though all this optimization might not matter if they decide to change something in the early game (the booze orcs got moved to where you have to fight them before recruiting Altina, this is a minor change but it's STILL a pretty early game change. The dev's also expressed frustration at how many people apparently completely miss Altina so they might change stuff around to make her a mandatory party member).

Hey there! I started my second playthrough of TLS(last one was was three or four years ago) a month or so ago, I'm now 200+ hours in and am at the Second Gathering, in this playthrough I've frequently consulted the primary walkthough and Thosha and Grim8P's playthrough guides and both playthroughs strongly recommend letting the Orgasmic Empire Champion win, which I don't really have a problem with as its definitely the empathetic thing to do, but I've noted the reward for winning all solo fights, namely the Orc Champion Medal, so I'm wondering why it's optimal to let him win. Like I said, I've no problem with being nice for the sake of being nice, but it seems counter intuitive to make a decision like that without knowing what the effects are, y'know?

Invictus455 Indeed, the game might change, but early game changes are unlikely. The prologue was updated, but the loot and enemies are identical to the previous versions.

allwillshatter Later on in the game he helps you with some other stuff (I won't spoil). Having the Orc Champion Medal is nice, but not essential since most enemies while playing as orcs are relatively easy. There also is quite a dark turn for him if you decide to beat him (which we overall tend to avoid).
