Crow73 There are some folks who try and do "disaster runs" where you try and hit the worst possible results every time your hidden scores get checked, but they are a monumental pain in the ass because you have to hit certain windows of Simon total XP exactly, which means precisely planning out which groups of monsters to kill and not kill.

My attitude (briefly) is that the worst you can do in a TLS playthrough is not playing, so I count not playing as my "disaster run".

Most of the "moral" choices happen in Ch1 and Ch2, and if you just mean doing the "evil" options like whoring out Qum, dominating Varia or choosing Altina's cockwhore personality it's possible to do a playthrough that chooses them, but I don't think anyone has made a walkthrough doing so. Most of the debate and interest is in how to get the best results and the "evil" early choices are generally considered subpar.

Crow73 like Dukeleto7 said it is a very tricky tradeoff between 'bad' choices that have no real worst choice. Is being mean more important or having more people die more important. How about balancing RP. Corrupted Altona, varia and trin revel in those things so you would make some people happy. Also there are quite a few fail-safes that prevent most disaster level outcomes.
All of this makes it near impossible to plan a route. There is also the tradeoff between getting stronger or letting monsters live and wreak havoc. But if you choose this you are very weak. All difficulties that are less relevant in optimized runs.

Hi I'm kinda stuck on first part of chapter 4, during investing phase, guide says I need to invest 100k in Orc Merchant but he requires 200k, am I looking at the wrong orc merchant? It seems to be the only one at least in new givini

The price is dépendant on your new givini country score. If you score is lower too high his investment price increases, you probably didn't follow the order of the investments

Seems that I missed something else, on the checkpoint before Ardan Succession Crisis I got Magic defense 0 instead of 2, what did I miss to have that, rest of the checkpoints are fine

EDIT; NVM missed the little girl in the HQ, thought the guide was referring at the little girl in the space, didn't check if she was in the new palace

hey thosha i just got to the point where im giving shards out im gonna give them to who u say but u mention Yarra, Orilise, and Riala will eventually have unique dialogues with certain characters if they have a shard, though you may want to consider saving the rest depending on the game's full release. Now that the full game has been released is this the ideal choice or should i just hoard them
wait it does say optional and i havent done optional so ill hoard them ig

Crow73 some characters give advantages having shards. Some give flavour text and some don't give anything (more lore related I guess).
I recommend giving them to whomever you prefer since they have no other uses

hey Thosha, just came here from the wiki after taking a look at your playthrough, had 2 questions

your playthrough doesn't have any purchase of mercenaries prior to the first conflict with the incubus king's forces (the one after the dark ruin, just before the party split) or am I reading that wrong somehow? as I understand keeping Carina's church forces alive requires a human mercenary company in your army, is letting them die really fine? I would have thought that had more lasting consequences but if its just flavor I guess it makes sense
Is there a way to paste the save files you've provided into the steam version of the game? to be honest I can't even access the save files outside the game itself so this might just be tech illiteracy my part

This is the only major loss in the entire walkthrough at this point in the game it is either lose Carina's men or get a significant Pron loss over the game (no longer able to purchase all investments + some other losses in scores).
If you want there is Dolphin who has currently a playthrough where he saves Carina's men (though he still tinkers with it). https://discord.com/channels/896059111106551859/1308329318077825024. The loss of Carina's men is mostly flavor and has little real downsides.
You can access your game folder through steam through: Right-Click on the game -> Manage -> Browse local files.
From there you can paste the save you like that you downloaded. Be careful that of the format of the name of the savefile: "SaveXX" nothing else.

Hello Thosha me again, i've been going through your optimised playthrough and it's been great, but I've noticed something,

at the end of the Erosion prelude, the listed RP value for Fheliel is 61, but I found it to be 56, figuring I must have done something wrong I checked her page on the wiki for all RP changes and found what it was

"+5 getting the Yarra + Qum x Ogre sex scene obtained during Yarra's route in Chapter 2."

I didn't get this scene since the playthrough said "you can choose either option with the ogre"

I'm not sure if this is a mistake exactly, it might be that the extra 5 RP is basically irrelevant, Either way I think a note should probably be added to avoid confusion, I didn't change anything cause I'm not sure what the wikki's (and your) policies are for making edits to personal projects that aren't yours

anyway, if that 5 RP is necessary I'll just use a later save from the list you provided, but i'd like to know before I do that.

I'm glad you point it out, this is a mishap in the code of the game itself. Originally Qum was forced to do it with the ogre for the best outcome. But since not everyone is a fan of NTR it was changed in a recent patch. I guess they forgot to update Fheliel RP when they did so. I will report it, thanks for pointing it out ^^.
For now you can indeed use one of my savefiles or cheat yourself 5 Fheliel RP (it is safe to do so)

Thosha What is your recipe for dealing with the Wheel of Fate in the final battle? I use your mix of recommended characters: Simon, Aka, Uyae, Qum.

Every time I try this, my party gets wiped out by the time of Wheel of Fate Stage 3. Fires of Fate comes in to deal an avalanche of damage that destroys the entire party.

cgh Oof, that's been a while, the strategy I described usually works for me, maybe try equipping better items on your party or maybe Grim has a better approach.
I am replaying the game atm to include all achievements and other fun ideas, but I am currently still at chapter 1

Thosha Grim8P's method works like a charm. Strike team starts with Simon, Robin, Lilith, Qum. Changes out Robin for Vhala at beginning of Wheel of Fate phase 2. And simply use Grim's item loadout.

@Thosha Thanks for your guide, I used it last year to finish the game after original run got stuck because of a bug.
I definitely want to do another play-through in the future on the Steam Deck.
Do you mind uploading it as a guide in Steam? Or would you mind if I uploaded it and credited you for it?

My intuition is that a TLS guide would have too much content to fit on Steam.

Plus the two versions would need to be kept synced. If there were any changes to the game going forward, I'd think they'd be to add a "floor" to help really unoptimized players continue without restarting.

kiren I am currently finishing a small revision of the guide and then i can look into if i can put it on steam (probably in multiple parts). One of the main issues i see is the incomptability with some of the assets I am using.
