Speaking of the war, have you changed your mind about the Fucklord? You're guide says to kill him quick, but according to the Erosian War guide you get more cohesion and RP with other goddesses for torturing him:

Letting her grants +10 Entity Cohesion, +1 Sabitha, +5 Mithyn, +2 The Mother, -1 Xestris, -2 Ivala
Stopping her eventually gives +2 Ivala

Thosha

Invictus455 This is more of a moral choice rather than a optimized one, I am heavily against torture in general. I hope that in the final release some more benefits will come from not torturing him, but that might not be the case. I'll make a final choice on that matter once the post-game is released

Invictus455

Maybe, but Wendis needs to release her anger on SOMETHING that isn't all of reality itself, (the one time against Simon doesn't count since she was holding back), we don't know how much cohesion is needed to TRULY bring her back, but it's possible it will wind up being 100/100 (I started my entire game again just for the 2 from the ribbon)

allwillshatter

Hey! I wanted to know, you say it's fine to complete Janine's quest early in the Expansion to Renthour(might've misspelled that), doesn't The Mother gain +1 RP for Janine painting her wedding? Wouldn't it be be optimal to get her first?

Thosha

allwillshatter I this case it is not necesarry since Grynyth has her RP created during the IW aftermath, after which her RP will update correctly when doing Janine's quest afterwards

allwillshatter

Thosha Ooh okay that makes sense. Thanks for the reply! 👍

Thosha

Invictus455 I understand that, I might changing it depending on the post-game, I just don't think torturing someone (in such a horrible way) is a good way to cope with the stress she has been accumulating.

Invictus455

Thosha

She wouldn't be the one torturing him though, just making him relive past experiences from the other side, any and all torture that would result from this would be self-inflicted. You claim this is because you're anti-torture, yet you'd be letting the real torturer get off easy by killing him quick. Maybe there IS some transcendent being waiting to administer its own judgment on the other side once the Fucklord's soul passed over, but Wendis seems certain only the peaceful oblivion awaits those souls that go over the edge and that would be to good for the FL. You didn't even get to kill the FL either, coward suicided just to inconvenience you, so he faces practically no punishment for all the shit he does. I seriously doubt the outcomes of this decision will change in the future. (Dude also had contingency after contingency, it's possible he might come back like Tunarak eventually if he's killed too quick.)

Thosha

allwillshatter I just cheked the code and it is safe to finish Janine's quest as early as 5-1 (free roaming thenours). SL patched it so that RP from her quest changes work properly now

Thosha

Invictus455 Yes, but there is no point torturing someone if he ends up dead either way. I'm not against torture for getting usefull information or having it lead to something beneficial, but doing it because you want to vent frustation is wrong (no matter how evil he is). If he ends up dead either way just get it done with and don't cause further suffering.
Also Wendis is the one torturing him, if I strap you on a chair to watch a horrible movie, I am still the one causing it because I put you in that position.
The fact that he is an evil person doesn't give you the right to do morally evil things to him. Even if he is very frustrating to the very end.
Also if there is an afterlife, we have no right to dictate in what condition he gets there, he will be judged over there for his actions. If there is proof that he gets to harm other souls in the afterlife I could be convinced that he should get his soul torn to pieces. Otherwise, I remain at my position.

Invictus455

Thosha trying to maximize Ivala rp?

Thosha

Invictus455 no, she can get maxed without. From an optimization standpoint torturing the Fucklord is optimal. However, the same can be said about the Palina rape, if you send Sabitha to Aram during the IW aftermath you can prevent it, but you lose out on having Sabitha help at other stuff (which I plan on doing). Stat-wise there is no benefit (you lose 2 simon recovery and 2 arclent acceptance), but I'd still rather prevent the rape if I can.

Invictus455

Thosha all this is speculation anyway since we don't know how much cohesion we'll actually need until the game's finished, but it's clear optimization and morality start drifting apart near the end of the game. Though if you're arguing soley morality Simon's pretty morally grey throughout the entire game:
Murdering the Feroholm bartender and stealing all his booze.
The invasion of Yhilin still leads to civilian deaths even if you keep CD to a minimum (like the guy in the square who loses his wife)
Breaking into the home and assassinsting a priest (alleged pedophile, but FL was ACTUAL one and you're arguing for him too)
Allowing all the Aramite CD in the war.

Most of these do serve a purpose and are done operating that they're for "a greater good" which is usually true, but they're still morally reprehensible too, only difference is you can't choose not to do them.

Thosha

Invictus455 For sure, Simon has done sone morally reprehensible things, which I will try to limit as much as possible when the post-game is released

Invictus455

Thosha right, so if you're playing "in character" he'd probably allow this. Especially since Estavan hurt Robin multiple times.

Thosha

Invictus455 Yes, I'm playing with my morals, not Simon's even though I feel Simon could go either way for this choice (hence why we are given the choice).
