Q&A Thosha's playthrough

Thosha

swears yes, it was added in the last update (so it wasn't originally in Nalili's quest)

Thosha

cgh I think I found the one missing, it is the one from Sarai's quest (since Gawnfall was not replayed yet). I'm currently going through it again to have an up to date savefile (also to get that crystal of stability). This may take some time to get but I'm working on it. I'm also sad not to have that final item 🙁

cgh

Thosha Thanks, Thosha, for identifying the missing Shining Sword. So the question is how far back do I have to go to pick up the missing Shining Sword. I really don't want to have to replay all of Chapter 5 Sovereign, but I will do it if that's what's needed. I have a suspicion that the final item Dim Sword is going to be important to survive what's coming.

cgh

swears Thanks for your note about the chest in Nalili's room. Lostone2 mentioned this about three weeks ago in his 0.73.X Content note. I need to do better at reading the assorted comments from the various game contributors to avoid asking silly questions. Lostone2 did a great job at detailing Vhala's Quest and the mini-Potiion Quest.

Thosha

cgh You need to redo Gawnfall... I am currently getting a savefile for it as well. I am currently at the start of chapter 5 (I can send that one if you want). Dim sword is bis for Simon and the last dungeon is most likely hell difficult, so yeah

cgh

Thosha thanks, but no need for a game file. I'm redoing the game starting with Gawnfall in Chapter 4.

Thosha

cgh good luck 🙂

cgh

Thosha What different happens in Gawnfall? Have you updated your walkthrough for whatever has changed?

Thosha

cgh The walkthrough has been updated to incorporate those changes a couple months ago (with the release of Sarai's quest), the only changes were to Gawnfall (and were pretty minor). Just some changes that made Annah like you more and on the 'Minor issues' you fail to fully support Eustrin, but instead get best outcome for Ardoheim. (which doesn't change much and was often left for choice of the player).

cgh

Thosha So where is missing Shining Sword #50?

I already answered that, its most likely from Sarai's quest

swears

Thosha Totally understandable if you decline but I have save files with the updated choices at Gawnfall up to Megail's quest following the playthrough exactly as far as I know (3 shining swords at that time + plus 1 each for Orcent and Vhala quest not completed and all checkpoint values matching) if you don't want to grind through it again. You've been kind enough to make yours available to us and help us navigate all those messy parts so let me know if you want me to make them available to you

Thosha

swears I really appreciate it, but this is something I need to do for myself. Furthermore, I also need to have saves at sufficiently regular intervals (as listed in my docs file) to make those saves available for others. I appreciate the offer though 🙂

swears

Thosha I get it

Thosha

For those interested, I have updated the Lustlord fight (since the latest patch has made a it very difficult). I'll gladly recieve feedback on the strategy I provided

cgh

Thosha Which Lustlord fight? There are four of them.

Thosha

cgh Lustlord, not Fucklord. At the end of the Second Gathering.
Fucklord was easy because of story reasons: super exhausted + Sabitha betrayal. Lustlord on the other hand is almost at the peak of his power (only reason we are even allowed to fight him is because he is being contained by Simon and others)

cgh

Thosha Not good news. Lustlord fight was already hard. Thanks for your work on this. No surprise about Varia as she was always my machine mowing down individuals, But interesting that you switched everyone's equipment.

Thosha

cgh Yes, you can try out the fight for yourself. It is no cakewalk

cgh

Thosha It's that much easier you providing some guidance as to how to get through it.
