I'm reviving this thread from the old forum. It's intended as a place where folks poking around in the game code (who delved too greedily and too deep) can place their spoileriffic speculations on where the game is going to go.

The reasons that this is separate from the main speculation thread is that we don't want discourage others from speculating because the delvers are perceived as authoritative.

As spoilers go though... Below there be dragons! (And possibly a Balrog.)

OK, first topic. I suggested to Sierra Lee that she adjust the code for Trin's conversation with Orcent in the Warrior's Ring bar in Yhilin and her manipulation of the King's Aide in New Givini to help Elleani become Warden of the South so that these could no longer happen after Trin's death. She took the note and added such code in anticipation of 0.59 in 0.57.3.

Seems simple enough, right? Here's the thing. She doesn't seem to have made ANY effort to adjust these events to account for the absence of Simon in 0.59.

Draw your own conclusions.

DukeLeto7 It doesn't surprise me in the slightest. SL said there would be a huge open-world section before the end game, so I just assumed we'd get Simon back in 0.58

DukeLeto7 don't think we will see an open world section without simon.
the change needed to be done in the hq only will be monumental. and there are the whole world maps to update too.
i think will take a couple of months to make all the change. this lead me to speculate simon will be alive at the "the end" screen, for the same reason.

SotterPapaioannou i don't remember a map like this, the only "temp" map i see, but never used was an aram map, but the dialogue inside don't make realy sense, was more a map of DoW translated in TLS.

I don't remember the exact update, but there were some hidden maps. In one of them, there was a scene in which Simon successfully ascends. I believe that there was a draft event for Ivala RP calculation, but I might be wrong. If anyone remember the update I am talking about, I would be grateful.

Fulminato There were a few maps. Some were drafts for the Return to Stineford section, there were a couple of waiting rooms, the Aram-like map you mentioned and perhaps some more.
