Bertricia Sidequest

On the wiki, on the page about the Council of Gawnfall, there is a sidequest for Bertricia mentioned. Something about a succubus in Helvanna that wants to meet her. Neither the quest nor the succubus are mentioned anywhere else on the wiki, and I can't trigger the quest or find the succubus in my playthrough.

Does anybody know what's up with that?

I've checked my older saves, and in my case that particular sidequest could be completed after the Ardan Succession crisis, in the second "open world" section of chapter 4.

Obviously you need to have spoken to Bertricia before, learning that she wishes to know more about Ivalan succubi. That conversation can be held right away in early chapter 4 (the initial "Gather the Party" section). At some point after that an Ivalan succubus nun will show up outside Helvanna's cathedral: https://a.pomf.cat/fzasho.png

The exact prerequisites aren't clear to me - it might have to do something with social score. At that point in time, I had Social = 40 (which is also a threshold for various other things) and Religion = 24.

I've been looking through some more save files, and I think the trigger isn't social score, but the Chalice States (country) score ≥ 40.

I found another save with Social = 38 that still had the succubus nun present in Helvanna, even before the second Tower expedition ("Establishing a fortress", after an early chapter 4 "Yhilin final" state). The key event in my case seems to have been funding Min's Trade Route, which pushed the Chalice States score by one point (to 40).

It should be mentioned/linked somehow in the Council of Gawnfall wiki article. Currently the section on Bertricia's initial score mentions the sidequest but doesn't give any details. There's a reference (footnote), but it only states "There is a succubus in Helvanna who wants to be introduced to Bertricia".

Tzardok Feel free to expand on the wiki. Maybe expand the existing reference to point to that Secrets_and_collectibles#In_Chapter_4 entry that Goi12 cited.

You can start a chain of events there: Talk to the Ivala High Priestess Bertricia there. Then go to Helvanna and talk to the succubus outside the cathedral, then go see Bertricia again. If you have a enough high Chalice States score (40) you can arrange a meeting between Bertricia and succubus nun. Carina, Lynine and Altina (both versions) will gain some RP. (Note: Helvanna succubus won't appear until you've been to Extradimensional Space at least once.)

For the sake of completeness: It's perfectly fine to delay completing this particular sidequest until you've progressed further with your stats. It can be done up to right before the Council of Gawnfall, i.e. in the free roaming section after the Tower Depths.

If your Chalice States score is still too low for the succubus nun to appear, some investments could help. Preferably pick those that will benefit both the country score, and contribute to the council somehow - e.g. Lustlord Temples/Statues and the Succubus Band Tour come to mind.
