Need help with controls

Hi there,

when starting the game the keybinds are a mess.
I automatically walk upwards and in the game the only keys that work "properly" are x, q and escape.
In the main menu only the arrow key "down" has any effect.
I am pretty lost as to what may be the cause.
Any ideas?

Atompilz i'm horribly late, but for reference.i own a orbweaver and it interact very poorly with rpg maker. the symptoms are the same, so it could be your mouse. a solution i fund is unplug the device, start the game and after that plug the device.

you can try this: press F1 go in gamepad/keyboard and click on "reset" or try changing the commands. If you are using a gamepad/joystick try unplug it and see if you have the same issue

I already went into the menu via F1 and pressed reset.
I tried switching the commands but I couldn't find any that match what I expected.
This happens both with the normal and with the RTP version.

I am using mouse and keyboard only.
Razer Deathstalker Ultimate and Razer Ourobors to be precise.

Sounds like potentially this engine issue. Note that it might be caused by the driver for a gamepad (or similar device) merely being installed or misconfigured, not necessarily connected.

I would try the mysterious nonspecific USB devices first, then the Xperia thing that's probably a phone, then other stuff.

If your keyboard and mouse have custom drivers, they could also be buggy in some way too, and it may be worth finding out what those custom drivers are actually doing that's worth using them instead of generic drivers.

Before all that, it might be worth trying to connect a gamepad and see if that either fixes the issue or allows you to play with that gamepad, just in case.

AiO CPU cooler pump, uninterruptable power supply, printer, display, phone.

Nothing mysterious around them and nothing I see interrupting with inputs.

I have an xbox one controller somewhere that I will try.

I might even have an old standard USB keyboard and mouse that should use less complex drivers.
