Steinford - How to Activate Meeting Robin and Yarra's Request

What exactly activates these events? I was under the impression I could discover the Succubus Tower or meet Robin before accomplishing any other quests, but I've at this point done everything that I can with no experience gain including Orcent's quest and progressing in the Mine up to the door and these events simply refuse to trigger.
I didn't want to do the Carina's Slaver's quest before getting Robin or at least discovering the tower but at this rate I will have to.
Edit: I have, of course, slept repeatedly at the inn next to Megail.

for robin you need to talk with megail the first time (the one with her request, 50K ProN and a Rare Material) and go to bed. robins should come in your room.

for yarra you need to interact with the 'hole' in stineford's slum and after that talk with her in your room.

Fulminato That's just what I wanted to hear. I have indeed interacted with the hole in Stineford and then slept and then talked with Yarra and nothing. That's the part that was really bothering me.

And did you then go and try to explore the tunnels that the hole in the slums lead to after talking to Yarra?

DukeLeto7 Looking at the hole nets me a "..." from Yarra and nothing else. Similarly, I cannot speak to Yarra back in my room. All it shows me are the affection points.

Well, then you are either doing something wrong, have been save editing, or I completely fail to understand the game's event code, because what you're describing can't happen.

Are you SURE you talked to Yarra AFTER looking at the tunnel entrance?

DukeLeto7 I am quite certain. If the hole in question is the small one with the Givini lad wandering about, then yes. Yarra said she needed to think on it. I went back to the inn, slept, talked to her and... nothing. Just harem affection points. Went back to the hole, "..." is all I get.
I assure you I am as confused as you are, as I've played past this part some 5 times and it has never happened to me before.
As for save editing, I would likely do so in the future (whoops), but I haven't actually done it yet. I did do it on my previous run prior to starting this one, if that somehow could affect it.
In either case I'm getting the distinct impression some trigger did not activate when it should, through my fault or otherwise, and am starting to become somewhat worried it may never activate at all.
Would it be possible to activate it extraneously...?

Do you have a save state from this playthrough from before you got to Stineford that you can go back to and replay to see if you can get it to recur?

There's a literal 1 in 100 billion chance that the bit containing the "SeenTunnels" switch got turned on by looking at the hole, along with the self switch that's giving you the "..." response, and then got overwritten to off in a copying error or a random X-Ray hitting that exact spot on your RAM or HD.

That's the switch that should trigger Yarra's dialogue on the tunnels being hidden by illusion in the inn.

Alternately upload your save and hopefully Fulminato will look at it.

DukeLeto7 I have no save prior to Stineford, sadly, as I save compulsively but didn't want to take up 100 slots.

I also had difficulty in Stineford in my latest playthrough. This is the most unintuitive part of the game, it's such a pain. At some point the Yarra dialogue unlocked itself but I have no idea how I did it.

Wait, did you sleep in the inn for sx, or in the rrom next to megails in the blue tiled one? You are supposed to do it in the latter.

By this I mean the room next to hers.

Welp, I've identified the issue and it's entirely my fault. Furthermore Fulminato had already more or less clued me in and I failed to notice it.
For Yarra to talk about the tunnels it is at least required that we talk to Megail inside her room. Now I, muppet that I am, never talked to her because I thought that'd trigger her evaluating the amount of ProN I had. All the more so because that conversation asked me if I was sure if I wanted to continue (yes or no).
Anyhow, it's done now, that's the solution.
